The holiday season is almost upon us and that means one thing – holiday parties are on their way. This season is typically jam-packed with all different kinds of parties, and they don’t stop until the New Year arrives. If it’s on you to host a party this season, then you may be looking for some killer ideas to make your party special. Since it’s a good idea to plan these things out in advance, here are a few party ideas for the holidays that you can use this holiday season, and make your party one that people will never forget.

Take A Trip Somewhere Warm

First off, nothing puts a damper on a party like having to cancel because of the weather. For many of us, this time of year means cold temperatures and snow, two things that can make partying a little less fun. So why not avoid that altogether this season and go some place warm? There are plenty of places that you and your friends and family can go this holiday season that will provide you with not only warmer temperatures but a great place to party as well.

Consider flying out to Florida, California, or even a tropical island like The Bahamas, and escape the warm weather for a few days. This kind of party will obviously take some planning and commitment on the part of your guests, but if you can pull it off, you’ll be treated to a few days respite from the cold. When looking at your options, see what holiday packages are available to save some money on your trip for all involved.

Ski Weekend

Perhaps you actually like the cold weather and don’t feel the need to go someplace warm. For those of you who love the snow – or at least curling up inside while it’s snowing on the outside – consider taking a ski weekend. Ski weekends are great because you get to play around in the snow during the day with some skiing and snowboarding, and then at night you can gather around the cabin fire, maybe have a couple of drinks, and not have to worry about driving home. Party Bus

So you don’t want to leave your hometown – you’d rather stay nearby and explore some bars in the area. If this is the case you should make an epic night out of it and rent the ultimate party bus. A party bus will allow you to gather a large group of people together, and travel from destination to destination without having to drive. You can even drink while you are on the bus and listen to your favorite music. With a party bus, you can have a great time even while traveling, and then get out to continue the party at each location.

Theme Parties

For those of you that want to have a party in one location, consider centering it around a theme. A theme party will help differentiate your party from all the rest and can make for a truly unique experience. Some sample holiday party themes could be Summer in January, Ugly Sweater Party, Christmas Carol Karaoke, or a high-class Yule Ball. If you are going to go with a theme, be sure to let everyone know what it is in advance, and how they can participate in the fun. The more people that get into the spirit of the party, the better success that it will be.

Haunted House

What better way to end our list of killer party ideas than with a haunted house? Halloween is a holiday too, and if you want to get into the spirit of it, a haunted house is a great way to go. (Side note: a Haunted House could make for a fun Christmas party theme as well, provided the decorations are both Christmas themed, and scary). Put together your best decorations and turn your home into a living nightmare. Request that all of your guests come in costume, and maybe give out some prizes to the best costumes. A haunted house may be standard, but if you put some effort into it, you can do things that people have not seen before.

Think Outside The Box

Holiday Parties don’t always have to be traditional affairs in your basement. There are plenty of things that you can do that will make your holiday event one to remember. All you need to do is think outside the box, and be willing to try some new ideas. Consider taking a trip, renting a party bus, or going all-in on a themed party, your guests will all thank you for planning a great event. The list above is just a small sample of the things you can do, and hopefully, it got your brain generating with some new ideas.
